camping grounds in Italy
I was looking at Hostels for my Italy trip and came across quite a few camp grounds. Anybody have experience with camp grounds in Italy. I want to get an idea of secure they are.. or do they lockers for luggage storage as well? How’s the sites though.. fairly clean? I was thinking of maybe doing one or two camp grounds if the weather is fairly nice. Please help by giving some comments.
Cheers!
Italy in 2 weeks
I’m doing a 2 week backpack trip through Italy and was wondering if people can give me some comments/tips on the transport I had in mind for the travelling from city to city.
1) Rome to Venice – train
2) Venice to verona – bus
3) Verona to Florence – bus
4) Florence to Siena – bus
5) Siena to Naples – train
6) Naples to Sorrento – bus
7) Sorrento to Pompei – bus
8) Sorrento to Capri – bus & boat
Feel to leave some comments!
Discover Italy On Line (Video + Stills)
My film “Gondola With the Wind 2” can be seen on the web if you have a high speed internet connection. The video features Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii, Capri, Pisa, and many other parts of north and south Italy.
This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I sell absolutely nothing.
My 2011 itinerary
ok, first look at my itinerary 2011 Senior Trip
next, I need advice on what cities to go to. What city should i spend longer in: barcelona, madrid, or a what other spanish country?
Spain, France, Germany, Amsterdam, Italy. What to eliminate?
Me and my friends are taking a summer trip to Europe. We were planning on going to France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Amsterdam. Yet, it seems hard to fit all these countries in a fluid foward travel motion. What is a good order to travel through these countries, and what countries should we eliminate? We can eliminate any except Amsterdam and Germany. I was thinking it was a choice between Italy or Spain.
Hostel advice please
Hi,
I have been traveling to Europe before with my family, but I am planning a backpacking trip with my friends in the summer of 2010 and have never stayed at a hostel before. I have researched quite a bit, but I am still unsure of a few details.
How early do people generally book a hostel in advance? I don’t want to book all the hostels before I leave for Europe for 35 days because then I will have no flexibility with my travel times, when I want to leave for my next destination, etc.
Overnight train costs (Budapest-Prague, Prague-Vienna-Florence)? Do you recommend them?
Hello everyone!
I’m Luis from México. I’m very happy because in mid-August I’ll be living a personal dream of mine of traveling Europe and living in Budapest for the next 5 months!
I am in the process of deciding which is the best way of traveling through the following cities I want to get to know in the first days in Europe: Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Florence, Bratislavia and Venice.
Does anyone of you guys know approximately how much does it cost the overnight train from Venice-Vienna, Florence-Venice, Budapest-Prague, Prague-Florence??

Italy in October Help!!
So I’m planning to start my 6 month + eurotrip in Italy first week of October. I wanna visit Rome, Venice, Naples, Monaco, Tuscany, Sicily, Milan. Is there any cities I should visit that aren’t on this list? Is there any on the list that I could go without?
As far as transport…what is the best way to get around Italy to each of these places?
Any advice as to where to stay to get the most out of my money? I’m a solo young female traverler, so i’m interesting in meeting great people along the way!
Any other advice is appreciated! Thanks!!!
