London
London to Budapest in 18 Days
Hi everyone! I will be leaving for Europe for the first time on Friday (so excited!)
The first 7 weeks I’m there will be spent in Barcelona for a study abroad program. I’ll be doing my Spain sightseeing during this time.
Then I’m off to a tiny town in Sweden for a week of swing dancing, followed by a few days in Stockholm (should I skip this? I don’t know anything about Stockholm other than that’s where I’m flying out of) and a few days in London to meet a friend.
I then have about two and a half weeks before I’m meeting another friend in Budapest.

Ten days in London and France versus visting several countries?
Hi! My boyfriend and I are headed to Europe this summer for a wedding in Tours (apparently 2h from Paris). Neither of us has been before, so I feel a little lost trying to plan things. We’ll be gone for about 10 days (haven’t booked flights yet). We’ll probably fly into London, where our friend lives, then go to Tours for Fri-Sun. I’m looking for advice on spending time exporing France (I’d like to see Paris, but other than that I don’t really know much about the other places) versus trying to take in other countries. I’d love to see Venice and/or Rome.
First Timer: Summer in Europe
Hello All.
Sorry if this has been tackled time and time again but I’m starting to get things in order for my first backpacking experience. I’ve never really been out of the country (US) and I’m really looking forward to seeing something new.
Ok, I have 9 days (because of work) and I only have two “must see” places. What can you tell me about Barcelona & Amsterdam? My plan is to fly into Amsterdam for the first part of the trip and then fly down to Barcelona for the last part. I am meeting up with a friend in Barcelona- that’s why that’s on the map.
Food In Eurpoe
I could not find anywhere on this sight where it talked about food. I am going to be going to London, Paris, and Amsterdam. I would like to know how much roughly i would be spending on food per day in each city. If someone could give me a low end amount and an high end amount. My friends and i will probably be drinking a lot of beer. Maybe add that into the cost. Thanks for the help.
Phoenix to London
Hello all,
I thought I’d check here and see if anyone can help. Looking for any decent fares from Phoenix, AZ to London. My travel dates are March 6-13. Can go a day earlier, or stay a day later. A longer trip could be even better. I’ve found a ticket with one-stop at $715 and a non-stop on BA for $887.
I checked Some airline, travel, & some of the other sites listed here on the forum. What do you think? Any other deals coming up that anyone may know of?
Thanks!
Greg
What to do in Interlaken, Florence, Munich, and Nice
I’m going with two friends to Europe at the end of the summer/early fall. As of now the cities are as follows: Rome, Venice, Munich, Zurich, Milan, Marseille, Paris, London, Dublin.
Paris, Rome, Venice are all pretty much decided what we’re doing, but I was wondering if anyone knew of fun things to do/see in the rest of the cities (especially Milan, Marseilles, and Munich).
Eurostar trains cancelled indefinitely
*This is from the Associated Press
Dec 20, 2009*
LONDON — The only passenger rail link between Britain and the rest of Europe has been shut down indefinitely, Eurostar said Sunday, promising more travel misery for thousands of stranded passengers just before Christmas.
Services have been suspended since late Friday, when a series of glitches stranded five trains inside the Channel Tunnel and trapped more than 2,000 passengers for hours in stuffy and claustrophobic conditions.
Some panicked passengers stayed underground for more than 15 hours without food or water, or any clear ide
