Switzerland travel advice?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a week and a half long trip to Switzerland in late March/early April, and I was wondering:

I know I’m booking a round trip ticket in and out of Zurich, and that I’m planning to make my way around in a circle, hitting Bern, Interlaken, and Lucerne before returning to Zurich. Does anyone have any advice about which of these places to spend more/less time in? I’m in the process of booking tickets and hostels, and I wanted to make sure I’m splitting up my time wisely and spending the right amount of time in each place.

Is Hostel Right for Me???

Hey All,
I’m planning an off season trip to Europe next month and am wondering if a hostel would be good for me. I’m 40 years old, young at heart and ready to have a great time in Amsterdam but wondering am I too old for staying in hostels?

I’d stay in hotels but hostels are better for my budget. Also not sure but am I getting this right that private rooms can be had for only $10-15 per night? How do they do this?

Best place to snowboard in Europe

My beau and I are traveling to Europe for the Holidays. We’ll be spending Christmas in Prauge, and New Years in Munich. We are also traveling in Switzerland, France, and possibly Austria. We have a Eurorail pass and would like to snowboard one or two days. Any suggestions? Possibly somewhere our passes would cover? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

A question about the most convinient way to travel these places?

Okay, so here I am planning a second trip next summer. Ideally, I’d be traveling 3 to 4 months this time.
In that time, I’d love to visit Switzerland, Autria, more of France, and Czech Republic, Greece.
What would be the most convient way to do that(and the cheapest) I’d love to visit the capitals and also beautiful little towns that I may not know about yet. Is the global pass a good option? And also, what option would I take, I’m a bit clueless when it comes to eurorail passes.

Europe in winter

Hi,

I am planning a Eurotrip in winter *for *2 weeks. My Christmas and New Years would be spent in Europe. Currently I have my eye on paris, switzerland, prague, vienna, budapest…. However, I am aware that I would not be able to cram everything into this trip. My style of traveling is fairly relaxed and I prefer quality over quantity. Any advice regarding the better places to travel to in winter and within my tight time frame would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx heaps!

Cheapest way from Brugee/Brussels to Interlaken... leaving in about a little over a week!!

Trying to get from Bruges to Interlaken in the fastest, cheapest, and most efficient way. Been looking into train travel, and have been quite confused by the variety of apparent possibility. Also been going through the flight websites, and haven’t found anything even remotely in my range. Any advice on the best way to do it by train, or perhaps a website or company to use for flight travel, would be really really helpful. I’m leaving for Belgium next monday, and want to head to Interlaken by saturday (probably take a night train friday).

Travel Itinerary

Hello, I am currently in Iraq and am planning a trip to Europe when I get back to the states. I would leave from Washington on the 9th of September and will arrive in Germany around the 11th of September, 25 days total in Europe. I have a rough idea of where I would like to go but I want to receive input from more seasoned travelers as this is my first time “traveling” on my own and in another country. Here is what I have so far:
1. Frankfurt, Germany 2 days
2. Interlaken, Switzerland 3 days
3. Gimmelwald, Switzerland 3 days
4. Nice, France 4 days
5. Cinque Terre, Italy 4 days
6.
