Hi everyone!!!!
I would be 15 next month!!!And my parents ( especially my father ) encourage me to have a study abroad programme and backpacking right after it!!
As you have to realize that I come from Hong Kong, a Chinese, which usually are conservative, but yet my parents allow me to go for europe all by myself!!!!!I really thank them for trusting my ability, but after reading the postings here, I’m a little scared of being robbed or something, others I don’t really much care.
Oh yes, let me tell ya my whole plan first!
The study abroad programme last 3 weeks, which surely would greatly improve my English, and increase my confidence and experience to take care myself in foreign countries.Then after that, I would take a EuroStar to Brussel and head for my jouney, my great dream!!!!!!!
So far, I’ve got quite a lot of preparation,I’ve booked tickets and railpasses, I’ve joined the IYHA, I’ve read some useful tips either from the net and from books, I’ve gone to most of the embassies and tourist boards for info of countries I intended to go ……
I know it’s not enough so I’ll keep lookin’ for more!!!
This was my first time to travel alone. Many relatives and aunties really oppose what I’ve planned.But still I’m not shaken, as there is a great support——-MY PARENTS!!!!I really thank them.
Sometimes I’ll ask myself (to be really sure of knowing myself) why I’m that brave to travel alone? Do I really have the ability??
I answer myself, coz I’m confident enough.But I’m alert that confident is not everything, so I’ll still insist my plan and be lot more hardworking to prepare myself.
Please will anybody be so generous and kind to give me some advice???Anything will do!!!!
Especially for the problems of language(I know only English , and now learning French for this journey), security and tips on saving time!!!!!! Thanx everyone!!!!!!
