Footware
The streets are covered in broken glass so make sure you have decent sneakers or similar, avoid sandels.

Crime
The crowds and drunkeness makes it so easy for crooks to steal your wallet bag etc. So just have your cash in notes deep in a pocket, don’t flash a wallet (even keep some big notes in your socks) Don’t carry any small bags with valuables as they will quickly disappear. Don’t sleep out in a park as you will wake up misssing belongings. People think they are clever putting things in the bottom of their sleeping bag. Until the criminals slit them open and steal them in the night.

Dates
The fiesta goes on until the 14th and the closing ceremony is fatastic. Aviod the first few days and the weekend as the place is just getting too crowded to function. Bars are 100 people deep, can’t get served. The toilets are undescribable and impossible to use. The accommodation is hugely expensive and very difficult to find. The bullruns are very difficult to get into and the crowds make it impossible to run. Having 20 people pile on top of you and being pushed into a doorway is not running with the bulls.
