Acropolis

One of the most important structures in the ancient world, the Acropolis is not just one building, but a collection of ruins that help define Ancient Greece. Most importantly, the Parthenon (completed in 438 BC) stands in testament to Ancient Greek ingenuity, craftsmanship, and architecture. The Erechtheion, Propylai, and Temple to Athena also make up this important site. No trip to Athens would be complete without a visit here.
