Albion Online: Understanding of Economics

Least logical reason for keeping fast travel that could possibly be presented. A clear LACK of understanding of economics as well as the fact that this is a Sandbox MMO, not guild wars.

The way I should be saying it:
The game is presented as Sandbox MMO, Fast travel kills immersion as well as harms the economy in ways we can only speculate. However, providing basic laws of economics gives us an educated guess as to the out come of the economy with fast travel removed + naked travel implemented.

Removing Fast travel will effectively increase marketplace sales around the world giving silver back to the player economy rather then removing silver from the game. (unless they are without my knowledge using fast travel to remove Albion Online Gold from the economy)
bah bah bah, new silver sink needed, bah bah bah
This change allows for a merchant to travel around the globe being a master of markets as a profession and can make a substantial income doing so (Sandbox feature)
this change also allows crafters/refiners to find cities that lack the supply for “their particular good(s) or services and weight the risk and reward of them supplying that low demand but also low supplied city.
It is in the low demand and low supply cities that players will make huge profits per sale rather then be forced to make profits off of volume such as is necessary in a city like queens market(Walmart).
I am going to stop here since I am sure to be wasting my time.

So, after we have the “hub” city and apparently all other cities are pretty much deserted. You seriously think everyone is gonna stay at the hub city and fight it out to get the closes reso node outside the gates?

Fuck no, they will go to the less populated areas to farm 600% times faster without the issue of gankers to Buy Albion Online Gold. People cry about the fact that it takes too long to move from city a to city b without fast travel. Well, sure it takes time, but whats the point if it didnt? We could just throw away the local market system out the window at that point and make albion yet another themepark mmo.

Pretty much every argument to support fast travel here is based on themepark mmos and keeps forgetting crucial parts of albion: player freedom, local markets, open world full loot pvp.

But hey, some players just have never seen what it was back like over 15 years ago, they just have nothing to compare with other than the last 10 years of carebear themepark mmo. Like the devs have said they want the safe albion online silver, they wanna update the old mmo genre and bring it back to life. This won’t happen by breathing all the worst parts of 10 years of themepark mmo shit into the game.
