I’m not singling anyone out — just whoever can delete them first. One thing I like alot abt e’trip is the fact that the forums are well-tended and the little bit of spam we receive gets weeded out relatively quickly. It makes reading and posting here more enjoyable, and I think seems more interesting and more &quotrofessional" especially to new readers.

Mim, if anyone wants to co-mod with me on cheap flights, packing, or guidebooks, that’d be great.

Also, for the last few weeks I’ve been working on configuring the new forum upgrade which we have on a test server right now. The new software has a really good spam protection program and it allows us to ban IPs which, believe it or not, this current program doesn’t.

Hopefully that will be launched by next week — I was aiming for today, but I don’t think that’s going to happen (don’t worry — all member names and passwords, posts, forums, and moderators have migrated). I think you’ll all be very excited with the new forums! I know I am. Members will have the ability to add photo albums, edit calendars, and a bunch of other cool stuff. And of course mods will now be able to post stickies — no more having to bump. But, alas, I trailed off topic.

In any event, we’ll start taking suggestions for new mods. Any ideas?

I’ll be happy to co-mod in Packing or Guidebooks. I’d also clean up the Spam in Cheap Flights — but certainly can’t provide much help to the posters compared to Don.

I am a bit technically challenged so may ask for a bit of help from time to time. Like, duh, how to put up a stickie.
I can mod elsewhere if need be but it might be good to take others up on it first; I finally got a part-time job which for me means being online less rather than more.

I’m excited, and can’t wait to see the new site. Stickies, and being able to post pics is gonna be great.

As i’ve stated before, I check this site daily, sometimes more than once daily, so i’m available to co-mod in whatever forums may need me.

BTW, i’m bakc to using Opera because Etrip is back to it’s slow self with Mozilla. Do you think this might have something to do with the new site about to be out??

I’ve deleted 3 or 4 posts from 1-time posters from Albania from the Transport forum. Usually on-line pharmacy stuff….

I just deleted a post by jqh123 in working in Europe.

Is it a requirement to report every spam deletion to massa?  Wouldn’t it be better to liquidate the spammers in silence, refusing to acknowledge their existance?  You’re just making martyrs out of these guys
