First and foremost, I would like to thank the Board for all the informative tips I got for my first trip to Europe. It all helped me and my friends immensely! Thank You!
As for my question, I am yearning to go back to Europe again, and am throwing around the idea of cycling across the continent up from Greece through Hungary and Austria and making my way to the Nordic countries then south throug Germany and Switerland to do a circuit of Italy going along the east coast south over to Sicily then up the west coast north into southern France then through Spain and Portugal. After which I will travel through the heart of France to Paris then Belgium and the Netherland ending my tour with an extensive ride through the British Isles.

NOW, before the laughter sets in, I KNOW this is a far fetched plan. But I am only tossing this idea around. If I do decide to take my bike, I will have train passes and will camp and hostel. Very tight budget…

My question is : Has anyone had any experience with such a trip? If I only have 6 months is this possible? (graduate college in December and have 6 months before debts set in) Also, since I will begin my trip about January, Is my proposed itinerary the best one regarding weather? I have exactly 6 months until departure and need to make a decision so I can try to plan something…..

A couple other questions: I am budgeting about $5,000. Is this enough? What equipment will I need?

ANY advice will be appreciated…even criticism.
