The Beer

What’s up everybody? I’m becoming very very excited about this year’s fest since it will by my first one. I’m really into the Belgium style ales and I probably drink more than my fair share of them. I haven’t really got into the German beers yet except for the Optimator which I think is superb. Does anyone know if they will be serving that beer at the fest or not. How many different kinds of beer will there be at the fest? Any favorite beer recommendations out there that I shouldn’t miss while attending the fest.
I can’t wait till the fest.

I do not believe any of the Spaten-sponsored large tents will be serving Optimator. You can certainly ask for it, but I am pretty certain that the tents who do serve Dunkl (Dark) bier will have a seasonal fest dark… However, the Spaten Optimator is easy to get kust outside the fest grounds – at many locations. Also, please check the official web site: www.oktoberfest.de
Some of the smaller tents or stands (cafes) have menus listed on the site.

Looks like I will be drinking alot of Spaten this year. I have reservations at Der Hippodrom two days straight: Montag (24.9.07) und Deinstag (25.9.07)... Most likely, I will be hanging at the Hacker Zelt on Mitwok (26.9.07)... So, I think the first day we arrive (Sonntag, 23.9.07) will be a mostly “VARIETY” day.. Perhaps some Weihenstephaner, Franzikaner Weiss, Paulaner, und maybe a stop at the Auguistiner Keller.
Hmmmmm, bier!

I want to go to the Hacker-Pschorr tent myself
This is my dad’s favorite beer too… it must run in our blood haha
I tried to convince him to go with me last night, but I don’t think my mom will let him. He gets in too much trouble when he drinks haha
Dad’s are like that!
