Hey there

what is the best fiction you read that was about someone traveling in europe

a book that you still have fond memories of looking back

maybe a book that was responsible for you traveling in the first place?

Okay, this is going to age me, but I have talked to young people who read the book and enjoyed it.
Back in the day, there were a couple books being passed around from backpacker to backpacker, and this was one of them (I read it in 1974, when I was in the middle of college, visiting a boyfriend in the UK):
The Drifters by James Michener

There is a lot of other fiction I’ve read and enjoyed. I’m not so much into the Martha Stewarty nonfiction type stuff, where ladies move to Tuscany and write about restoring their homes.
