Honestly, reading the reviews is the best way to go. Here you’re going to get the advice of maybe 2-3 people, there you get hundreds. I know hostelz.com has independent in-depth reviews of lots of hostels in addition to visitor’s reviews, I suggest checking those out as well.
Edinburgh, Madrid, London, Segovia, Santiago de Compostela, Toledo, Córdoba, Seville, Granada, Barcelona, Lyon, Nice, Paris, Bruges, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Kutná Hora, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Füssen, Venice, Milan, Pisa, Florence, Siena, Rome, Pompei, Naples, Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Budapest, Hunedoara, Sighişoara, Bucharest, Sofia, Plovdiv, Istanbul, Selçuk
If i am honest I’m not too sure abut great hostels to tough but i do know of great bed and breakfasts where you can meet fantastic people traveling like yourself and at affordable prices if your still looking?
A train hostel for Amsterdam that’s for sure, the place is fun, clean and cool. It is interesting as pople from all over the world each friday gather in “the train’s“bar. I met so many interesting poeple out there. But, surely if you are looking for a place where you can only sleep and rest train is not for you, cause i think it is too loud^)
