I do know that when hiking with heavy loads, you should always wear a good ankle-supporting boot. But I only very rarely hike with a heavy load. For the past ten years or so I’ve maianly worn a good sport sandal for hiking – I find this is all I need (when carrying a light load) even in very rugged terrain, and have worn them everywhere the weather permits.

How about you?
