Im planning on visiting Bratislava in summer 2010 and would really like any info you have about the city, such as: clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants, musems, historic sites, and pretty much anything you think is worth doing/seeing. thanks in advance :]

I am leaving from Reno, NV with $5000 for 17 days
Paris, Prague, Budapest, Rome

There’s a museum in Bratislava Castle that’s probably worth the price of admission and a quick visit, It includes a clock-making museum, and has some fairly interesting “destroyed and rebuilt” history but otherwise it isn’t a whole lot different from any other castle you’ll trek through in your journeys. St. Martin’s church is worth popping into for a look around and, I think it has some interesting history. A 1/2 day trip to the ruins of Devin Castle is worth it a visit and I think there’s now a history museum at the site which may go into some of the “resistance history” of the Soviet era. I think “Old Bratislava” is a world heritage historic site. Great fun to wander around the medieval city’s narrow streets. Look for “the narrowest house in Bratislava” — about 3 stories tall but barely wider than the front door.
