Calling all experts, I have been browsing the forum for a few weeks trying to discover my own deal to no avail. I have been using ITA software (among others) to find something from Toronto to Bucharest in July or August for 35 or 40 days (returning on or before Sept. 6th) for 2 people . So far, the cheapest I can find is 1031 in CAD from Aircanada and Airfrance (961USD) including all taxes and fees. On ITA they use swiss air and have a currently outdated flight that leaves at 6:15 (after march will be changed to 8:00pm, meaning the connection to bucharest cant be made). Does anyone know when they will update? Or where I can find a better deal to Bucharest? I am aiming under 1000 each ticket for 2 people. Also, since there are many cheap flights from Rome, if you can find a deal to rome, that might work…..Contact me here, or at andy_joanisse at hotmail .com Below is the outdated flight info:

According to Skyscanner.net, looks like cheap flight options from VCE, MIL, and VIE to OTP, so maybe 2 tickets if one of those is cheaper first from YYZ?

Hi, Have mostly looked into direct to OTP lately as most of the european flights I found would cost close to the same if not more than the savings we would have kept if we flew direct to Bucharest (except ones from Rome via BlueAir the lowcost Romanian airline). We are eventually looking to go to Iasi Romania, but the only airline seems to be Austrian (iasi to vienna) and it is more expensive (1100+ each person). A few weeks back I was looking to fly to any European city, but the airport transfers, and in-europe flights were adding up too much. The only thing I did find was a swiss air sale (which I ended up missing due to a potential college strike). But from my rambles, what I’m trying to say that we are open to fly anywhere (anytime july to august) as long as we can make it Romania (Iasi or Bucharest) cheaper than 1000. Thanks for your help Don!!

Some are only available for US departures, so I tried some US sites and all Canadian listings. I still can’t seem to find anything better than 1031 CAD. Think it is a good price? Or will there be something better?
So to answer your question, Ive tried orbitz, gala, ebooking, booking buddy, fare compare, flights.com, canadian affair, expedia, and countless other sites people have recommended on these forums etc etc. I have tried for over a few weeks trying all sorts of combinations. I did not just post what I wanted here to skip on all the effort myself. This is a sort of last resort to see if anyone out there can find something I can’t. Please help if you can!
Exepedia.ca also has some itineraries for C$1030. All considered—outbound in peak season, staying more than 30 days, to Bucharest—I think that’s a pretty good price.
