Which should one take on a eurotrip, a digital camera or one that uses rolls of film?

I am leaving from Ohio, USA with $4000 for 40 days

I went digital and never looked back.
I just have a little point and shoot.

Digital cameras are so cheap nowadays that it’s kind of silly to go with ones with film that needs developed. Especially if you’re travelling, you’re not going to want to carry around 20 lbs of undeveloped film with you and risk it being ruined at the airport or something.

I say just go for a decent digital camera that comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery; as long as you buy a little voltage adapter (a little piece that goes on the tip of a power cord) you can recharge your battery anywhere. For around 100 bucks you should be all set.

Do people still shoot film? I’m a terrible photographer. With film camera I had to take 3 shots of everything to make sure I got the the right exposure, etc. With digital I can just delete images and only keep the ones I want. No more paying for under or over exposed prints.

What’s one that has a timer on it for a good price?

Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.

Honestly, I think if you’re paying more than 150 bucks on a camera for your trip, you’re probably spending more than you need to.
