I know this is eurotrip.com, but I’ve always thought of it as more of a travel forum. Anyway…

What is a good place to visit in northeast America or eastern Canada. I’m driving from VA with my friends as a senior vacation, and I need some ideas.

Places we don’t want to go: DC and Baltimore are close enough that we visit them often. Also, NYC is too expensive and we just don’t like Boston.

I was thinking of Montreal since we would be legal there, or maybe Ottowa, but I don’t know what’s there. Maybe something in VT or CT? Any other ideas?

was there for two months in 2009, and everywhere i went was beautiful!!!! would love to go back for longer!!!

montreal was beautiful as well, only got to go there for 2 nights, but it made me want to go back again! one day!

I’m not sure if we share the same likes/interests since I love Boston, but Maine is beautiful, as is Cape Cod (my favorite spot would be Chatham). Burlington, VT might be a spot to check out as well. I don’t care for Montreal, but you may enjoy it.

I highly recommend Montreal. Skip Ottawa, and visit Quebec City instead. If you have lots of time, go further east, maybe do some whale watching in Tadoussac (QC), and/or visit New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and/or Prince Edward Island.

In the USA, obviously New York City. Defnitely visit Boston. You may also love Philadelphia, and do try to visit Vermont and/or the coast of Maine.
