Decision Time

We have made a decision about our holiday this year. I’ve always wanted to backpack but have never had the opportunity to do it. So this year (after some persuasion!) my boyfriend has agreed that for our holiday we can backpack for a couple of weeks around Europe.

Excellent news I thought! However, the more I look into it, the more I can see that two weeks just isn’t enough, there are so many places I want to see and so many more that I don’t even know exist yet!

I think I’ve narrowed down the list of places we will visit although I think I really need to cut some more out as we only have one or two days in each place and I haven’t really accounted for travelling time either!

We will be taking full advantage of low-cost airlines to hopefully maximise the number of countries and cities that we get to see.

The travel will be by far the most expensive aspect of our adventure and I’m tempted to slum it on the hostels/accommodation in order to travel further and faster by train instead of taxis and buses.

It’s still all in the planning stage, so if anyone stumbles across this I’d be grateful for any pointers! Remember that we’re new to this backpacking thing and we want to have a fun first experience to enable us to be more adventurous in the years ahead!!
