So what are your favorite one night pub crawls in Europe? I’m looking for suggestions. The cities I’ll be visiting are:

Doolin, Ireland
London, England
Paris, France
Barcelona, Spain
Nice, France (maybe Antibes or Cannes)
Florence, Italy
Rome, Italy
Munich, Germany
Berlin, Germany

These are the cities I’m certain I’m visiting. Others I may go to include:

Dublin, Ireland
Galway, Ireland
Bern, Switzerland
Zurich, Switzerland
Ennis, Ireland
Glasgow, Scotland
Edinburgh, Scotland

Where are the best crawls?

Dublin, Galway, & Edinburgh are three of the Top Ten PUB CRAWL cities on the planet! I saw one on the Travel Channel (Samantha Brown’s show) in Dublin, IRE.. It looks so good, my wife and I are definately planning on doing it in 2007. You sign up for a music jam & pub-crawl combination. Basically, you tag-along (or they tag along with you) with a few local musicians, who bring lightweight, totable (acoustic) style instruments. There are at least 45 pubs in the city center of Dublin alone! You go to each one for 30 or 40 minutes, down a pint or two, and sing-along!

The Circle Line Pub Crawl when in London, basically it’s the ‘Circle Line’ on the underground, and their is usually a pub right outside each underground station, if not very close by to the station

The pub-crawl in Barcelona didn’t incluse musicians, but I remember I had fun, and it was all at walking distance, the pubs had different kinds of music, etc.

The pub-crawl in Rome sucked bigtime. We took more time getting to the places than being there, and they were far from where we were staying, and after a while and a couple of drinks, it is easy to loose your whereabouts. When I had enough of going to pubs or disco’s that had no originality or anything for that matter, but had the same sucky playlist, and after the 11th time I heard Usher’s yeah yeah yeah song in 3 different places (yeah, they repeated the friggin’ song after a while), I decided I was ready to head back to the hostel, but it was late and I had no clue where I was. I had to pay a cab, a thing I had no problem with in Barcelona.

You’re not going there, but some of the hostels in Granada have free pub crawls and they are great. One drink free and tapas at every stop. Just tip the guide at the end!

I dont know why Jester said the pub crawl in Rome sucked maybe he did the wrong one. Their is severl the Spanish steps one not sure i did not go it, but the Collisium pub crawl was the best pub crawl i went on in my trip. It was s fucking blast you hace to go it its soo much fun.

Also in Munich if your staying a Jagers, or the Youth hostel next door they have an amzing pub crawl too. It takes you to 3 beer gardens not including the Holfburo Hosue which i probbaly spelled wrong but oh well.

Do you get together with a group of people at the hostel for the pub crawl or do you look for postings of pub crawls for a specific night?

the one in rome doesnt suck, its just the bars arent as good to begin with! So it makes it seem like it sucks! If you can go to Munich, everything there was great!

I havent been on these but my friend recommended them when I go in 2009.. They give really amazing free tours during the day.. Its basically college kids working for tips and at night they have pub crawls in almost every location.. She said its like 15 bucks something like that, you get a discount if you went the free tour during the day. And you get free vodka shots all night, free pint when you start, and free admission to all the bars and clubs you go to. She went to the London and Edinburgh pub crawls.. but they also have one in Paris. The same company does tours in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Munich also but no pub crawls for those locations yet atleast.
