I know this may sound a little Generic, but how easy is it to find a job in Europe (More so Ireland) I have a work visa and all so thats not the issue. Its just I really dont now how I will go finding a job and a place to stay to. And before anyone suggests bar work; no i am not qualified to serve people drinks.

Curious… how on earth did you get a work visa without a job? They are normally specific only to the job you are offered, for which you sought permission as a foreign worker.

It was all fairly easy. I was not asked once about having or being offered a job, not at all. The only thing they asked for was an address to stay once in the country (and a hostel was fine!)

Ahhh, a working holiday visa (?). Does this allow you to do any job? Are there time limits (like 6 months or 1 year)? I ask, because this might narrow down the search.

Yeah Its a working holidayVisa. Yeah It should allow me to get any job (So far i am not aware of any restrictions and i think you are spot on with time limits)

only thing it says is that I can stay with one employer for more than 3 months.

Don,
Being a member of the commonwealth, their citizens are allowed to work in the UK for 2 years without having a full working permit.
The other way to get a work permit without really having a job is marrying a UK citizen.

Lot of restaurant jobs are filled up by these holiday visa.

Right. I didn’t realize it was 2 years though. I thought it were 6 or 12 months on the working holiday visas. I just wish I had some tips for Geoffy… all I can think is to scroll back in this forum as I recall some creative ideas several months ago here. (Set it to show posts from 6 months in the drop-down box on the Working In Europe forum page).

I didn’t know that till I met a few Aussies. My previous tenants were Australians and they all worked as bakers in a local bakery. They rented the place for slightly over a year.
