First Trip!... need suggestions =)

Hello, I am new to Eurotrip and still learning how this works! My travel dates are for May 2010, leaving from Florida US, into London. While in London I plan on spending a good part visiting with family that I have never met, and then plan to venture on my own and see Dublin, Amsterdam, and Paris.
At the end of my trip I will return to the US from a London airport.
Any suggestions on which route to take during my travels would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
KAM
I am leaving from Florida, USA with $3000 for 21 days

I would probably take Eurostar, the chunnel train, from London to Paris and train from Paris to Amsterdam. I look for flights from Amsterdam (or anywhere in Netherlands or Belgium where I could find a really cheap flight) to Dublin and another flight back to London.
Use www.whichbudget.com to see which low fare airlines fly which routes and check our “cheap flights” forum for more help and tips. Use www.eurostar.com to look for cheap leisure fares and other specials on Eurostar. Use http://reiseauskunft… for train schedules anywhere in Europe, including UK. You’ll probably end up on a Thalys train from Paris to Amsterdam. Look for advance purchase specials at www.thalys.com
I’d think about an open jaw flight to avoid backtracking to London.
Thats a great start- thank you! Could you tell me what the most feasible airport/s would be in Amsterdam and Dublin- and possibly the code? It makes researching much easier!
Am I correct in assuming that “open jaw” is the same as “one way?”
…Thanks again!

An open jaw is into one city, out of another. Sometimes they’re only slightly more expensive than a round trip and save considerable time and perhaps expense in getting back to London. In your case maybe into London, out of Shannon or Dublin, or perhaps into London out of Paris (or vice versa). Use the “multi-city” option in whatever flight search engine you use.
Which airports are best depends on which low fare airlines are using them and what’s available for cheap flights on the day you want to fly. I’d check them all….
