This post is actually more to vent my dissatisfaction with the hostel situation in Warsaw than to find a good one (mainly because I don’t believe it’s possible)! I’ve spent a good amount of time in the city and everytime I’ve stayed in the drab, personality-less HI hostel on ul. Smolna. If you’ve been to Warsaw, chances are you too have stayed here because it is the only hostel located in the central area of the city. It is also one of the worst hostels for backpackers over the age of 12 because, get this: THERE IS A 11pm CURFEW with LIGHTS-OUT at 10pm!!!! On top of the ridiculous curfew, the place is also usually infested with schoolchildren. Why aren’t there any laid-back, fun hostels in this city??? If anyone knows of one could you please inform the rest of the backpacking world!!!
