Hi, could somebody please tell me exactly what is the best way to get from Hamburg Airport to Itzehoe train station on the 30th of July 2008. Also, if you would be so kind, how much would this cost me altogether?

Thanks in advance

[=“times new roman”][=“3”]It looks like you have to take the train into Hamburg and connect there, but the whole trip is only about 1 1/2 hours and there are at least two trains every hour from the airport that make quick connections in Hamburg.
http://reiseauskunft… You can buy this ticket for 16,50 euros.

Are you flying into HAM or into Luebeck (which Ryanair calls Hamburg)?

There is no rail connection to Hamburg, the airport is not due to be connected by S-Bahn until end of this year.

There is a bus direct to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof  (which is the option that bahn.de gives), or you take teh Airport-Express bus to the Ohlsdorf S-bahn station which takes you to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, from there to Itzehoe.

Are you going to Wacken? (Can’t think of any other reason you’d be going to Itzehoe on 30 July [])

Looks like there are some direct trains but you have to change at Elmshorn or take the S-bahn to Hamburg Altona station on others. Use the German rail company website: http://reiseauskunft…

Thank you for that link the site is really helpful wit finding the station sadly can’t use it to book tickets but stil i now have train stations and times which is very helpful i seem to remember it taking about an hour last year to get from hamburg to itzehoe so i’ve found the same train now an i’m sure the altona place was the station to change at……

…however tbh last year we had absolutely no idea where we where going an there’s that many metal heads going the same way just following them is a safe bet!
