I dropped my iPhone in the ocean in Barcelona at the Bogatelli beach (not sure, but definitely where L´escamarla restaurant is). I was about 20-30 feet from shore, and I dropped it. I know that it´s probably gone forever, but is there ANYTHING I can do? I talked to the cops, and they said they sweep the beach every morning, but I don´t know how detailed they do it. I was thinking of getting a snorkel and look around tomorrow morning. Any chance it washes ashore? How helpful would the beach police be tomorrow? I know this is off-topic and I should probably write it on a beach forum, but just covering all my bases here.

I would probably at least rent a snorkel and go look for it. Even if there is water damage it might be salvageable.

It was in a waterproof pouch. I’m not sure if it would eventually wash ashore or get buried deep in the sand.
I don’t know. Maybe I should offer a $500 reward for people in Barcelona to go find it with a metal detector and snorkel.
