help getting from Zagreb to Belgrade
Thu, 05/07/2009 - 09:45
Hey all,
I’m planning a trip to the Balkans in June and am having a difficult time figuring out the easiest way to get from Zagreb to Belgrade. Is the bus or the train preferable? Are there night trains/buses? Is there somewhere online I can find train or bus schedules between the two? Thanks for your help, looking forward to an awesome trip!

Use http://reiseauskunft… for train schedules anywhere in Europe. Looks like about 6 hours and 4 day trains and one overnight to choose from. Try www.eurolines.com for bus schedules. Not sure about the current situation, but there used to only be 1 bus a day which took 7 hours and cost more than the train.
Direct connections:
Night:
Fast train No 315. Leaves Zagreb Main station (Glavni kolodvor) 23:55, arrives Belgrade (Beograd) 6:21. Sleepers, couchettes, seats.
Day:
Fast train 413 “Nikola Tesla”. Zagreb 6:03, Beograd 12:25.
Fast train 415: Zagreb 11:00, Beograd 17:18
EuroCity 211 “Sava”: Zagreb 17:10, Beograd 23:21
If you have any questions about Prague or Czech and Slovak republics, ask me.
If you only want to search train or bus connection within Czech&Slovakia and/or to neighboring countries, use www.cp.sk or www.idos.cz search engines. For domestic transport, they also show prices.
