Herkules Monument

I’ve traveled a lot in Europe, have seen most of the stereotypical must-see cities like London, Paris, Venice, and Munich, but something about this place just struck me. In the first place, I really like Germany because it is part of my heritage, but something about this monument just clicked for me. It is a giant, castle-like structure starting with a giant parthenon type structure at the top with a giant statue of hercules on top of that, then comes my favorite part; a giant man-made waterfall built into a castle like structure with statues of mythical figures everywhere which cascades down into a large pool. After the main structure the monument park continues down the hill for quite a ways, with streams and ponds and great scenery. It has great history too, it was built with the money that Hessian soldiers earned for fighting for the British in the Revolutionary war.
