How To Add Places & Events

To add a place or event to Eurotrip:

  1. Click Places and Events in the Add Travel Entry menu on the left.
  2. Enter the actual title of the place or event you are adding.
  3. Choose the type of place or event you are entering from the pull down menu.
  4. If there is a cost, choose the range in US dollars. If it’s free, choose zero or, if you’re not sure what the cost is, click None Selected.
  5. In the Tags box, list a few words that can be associated with the place or event.
  6. Enter the city where your place or event is located. Once you type in the city, click validate and it should be displayed on the map below.
  7. Pinpoint the location of the place or event by manually placing a marker on the map. The first two times you click on the map with the cursor, it will zoom in. After the second click, you will be able to place the marker.
  8. If available, add the official webpage associated with the submission.
  9. Add any additional details such as the address or admission price.
  10. Provide a description of the place or event using the WYSIWYG editor.
  11. If you would like to upload any photos, you can do this by clicking browse, selecting the photo, and clicking upload.
  12. You may recieve updates to any changes or additions to your entry by checking subscribe.
  13. You can leave a comment for the Eurotrip editors in the provided box.
  14. Click submit and wait for editor approval.
