Hi Everyone my name is Sylvio Hache and i am from canada.
My main language is french but my english have always been ok to comunicate with people.
All my life I have always love history, being from the ancient time with the collossus of Rome or more recent like the world war 2.
I will be traveling over sea for the first time from may-jully 2013 for 2 months!I cant wait to live this experience and work my way on my own in Europe.
I am also a big fan of nature, I lived in a small village 15 min to a town of 15 000 people so I am just used to be in the wood and close to rivers. The thing I used to love the most is just listen to the sound of a river and play my guitar for hours.Or do the same while beeing in the middle of the road and looking at stars.
I just wanted to say a little about myself.

Thanks for having me here.
Well, I´m Karin, a 42 year old (or rather young) “life traveller” from Stockholm in Sweden. When I grew up my parents took our family to different parts of Europe but for various reasons the last 20 years I´ve only been to a few countries.
Now, my children are 14 and 16 and I would love to take them on a trip through Europe though I have small resources.
I am thinking about back-packing but in a more formal way as I was injured in a car accident some years ago.
I´ve always been interested in different cultures, languages and getting to know people but my challenge for this possible trip will be to make it interesting enough for my children who prefer to explore the world and friendships through a computer.
If I´m lucky we´re of for adventures in 2014 or 2015 and maybe a small trip to visit friends in Spain before that.
Hopefully I´ll find useful information on this site and maybe I can help someone in return.
Wishing you a great day!
Karin
Swedelady: Welcome. I fully understand about teens that aren’t all that excited about travel! While mine didn’t turn into an explorer, he did grow up to enjoy travel. You can follow a backpacker style and backpacker budget without actually throwing on a backpack, so I think you ‘ll find the tips here useful.
Thank you
Hello Eurotrippers!
I’m Dylan, a 25 year old hairstylist living in Toronto, Canada.
I’ve yet to travel to Europe, but lately I have been hit with a serious case of wanderlust. I’ve decided it’s time to start putting some serious thought towards my first European experience.
I love fashion and art, and can’t wait to plunge headfirst into the myriad of culture that awaits! I also find myself nearly drooling thinking about the foods I will encounter.
I’m glad I’ve found a place that will help me figure it all out, and get the ball rolling.
Hi DylanC. Certainly lots of art, fashion, culture and great food awaits you. Don’t forget Eastern Europe in your search — there are more girls clad in the latest fashions on the street in Ukraine than anywhere else I’ve been and Fashion TV (mostly runway shows) is usually what’s playing on the TV in a fair number of the bars, although maybe the topless and otherwise revealing fashion is as big a draw as seeing the latest styles?
Welcome Dylan! You are going to have a blast from art to food! Enjoy the journey

Hello all!
My name is Mike LaValley, and I am from the States! Ohio to be exact, although I am more of a Michigan lover, this probably wont make sense to most of you who aren’t from the states, haha.
Little bit about myself, I love music, wasted a lot of money on amazing experiences at many different concerts! I love sports as well, played soccer or el futbol all of my life, still do. American football and hockey are probably two of my favorite sports to watch as well! I have traveled all over the US, seeing everything from Yosemite National Park to Disney World, to New York, to the mountains of Utah/Denver, and have loved every bit of it. I am a nature buff, don’t really like the “big city” life, but also don’t mind being a part of it.
I am graduating from college here in about 3 months and that was has brought me to this site! Myself and couple of friends are now planning a European Excursion! Look forward to talking with all of you on the forums!

Hello Everyone! My name is Stella and I am from Canada
I enjoy meeting new people more than anything else, and I love to dance like no one is watching-when no one is actually watching! Haha, I love music, my parents are musicians so I grew up listening to many different types of it, and I love to read! School has taken up much of the time I used to use for reading, but I sneak it in whenever possible! I love trying new things and travelling and most of all just making people smile and laugh
Looking forward to chatting with you all! Xoxo

Hello! My name is Maggie and I am a Sophomore in college in the US! Me and two of my friends are planning a month and a half long backpacking trip to Europe for this summer! We would appreciate any and ALL feedback regarding: cheapest way to do that, where to go, how to go, what to bring, etc. We are all completely new at backpacking! We want to see all the main sights, experience really cool unique things, and don’t mind at all sleeping on trains, hostels, or any other locations like that. Two of us, me and Sara, have been to Europe before, but in a school organized setting. Thanks for the help!!

Hi Maggie! Post your specific questions in the appropriate forums, where more people will see them and comment. One comment for starters….Have you looked at an “open jaw” ticket so you don’t have the time and expense of getting back to Copenhagen? Use the multi-city option on flight searches and post in our “cheap flights” forum for more help. Copenhagen is kind of out of the way and it’s an expensive visit with few options for cheap transportation to/from there …. maybe not the best option for both arrival and departure if you’re trying to save money?
Hey! My name is Jayde and I’m 20 years old. I live in a small town in British Columbia. I love music, traveling, laughing, meeting new people, and being adventurous! I have been to Europe once on a school trip 5 years ago and long to go again! I’m planning my backpacking trip for September 2013
Welcome jayde33. Have fun planning and post any questions we can help with.
Hi, I’m Megan. I’m from Minnesota, USA. I’m 18 right now, but because of a college project, I’m already planning my first Backpacking Europe trip for 2016, when I graduate. I absolutely adore music, and traveling (even though I haven’t been to very many places, and never out of the country). I’ve been to Orlando, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; just about everywhere in South Dakota, and a couple other states near MN. I’m nervous, but really excited about planning my first ever out of the country trip. I want to cover as many countries and cities as possible on my first Euro Trip, so I’ll need lots of advice.

Hi, I’m just beginning to travel a lot, and I’m crazy about Scandinavia. My main goal right now is trying to get some friends over there so that I can experience it with them. I’ve been to Miami, Sweden and San Francisco, and I live in NYC.
Hi Sethdood.
Hey Seth – welcome!
If you live in NYC, take a look at Iceland Air which gives you a free stopover in Reykjavik and usually has pretty good prices.

hi! my name is elena and i am from athens, greece.i am planning to go to kosice, slovakia. i would appreciate to help me and tell me the cheapest way to go there.in addition there i will meet my friends from greece . i need a help please ,because i never go to abroad and i don t know all the dangers . to sum up i would like to tell to everybody ,although my country has a lot of financial problems,i believe inside me that there is not beauty like greece, and only the sunbeam in our face every day ,tells to me a lot!
Hi Elena. I wouldn’t worry too much about “dangers.” See our “cheap flights” forum for help on the cheapest way to get to Slovakia and post any specific questions in the forums.
Heyyy, my name is Urooj (pronounced like rouge) and I’m 21 years old. I have lived in Canada most of my life, growing up in Toronto and now live in Calgary. I’m in my 4th year at uni doing biology and almost done =) Because of my excessive nerd life i have not left my city for 4 years
so this is really exciting. Since this was a last minute decision, My 3 friends are insisting we do one those Contiki tours but I personally don’t think we will enjoy it as much. I could go on a huge rant about those tours but I won’t. Instead, I would really appreciate any insight on the places I have chosen, more specifically the best way to commute in Europe, accommodations, food, etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, my name is Gaby, I’m 20 and from Miami (well Cuba originally but I grew up in Miami). I’m studying english literature and I love reading and writing. I love traveling and and have been to a few countries in europe, but always with my family. I’m planning a trip with just my best friend departing from Barcelona, where my uncle lives. I’m kind of overwhelmed at how hard it is to plan a trip by yourself! I plan on being in europe 3 weeks and spending 2 weeks traveling around and 1 whole one in Barcelona with family. Any advice anyone has is really helpful
I want to travel by train but I never thought it could be so complicated!
Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Milan
Looks like a you’ve already come up with a reasonable plan, hellogoodgaby….
I’d think about skipping Milan and looking for a cheap flight from Prague back to Barcelona — that would make the rest of the trip a little less hectic.
Hi everyone,
Be welcome to check out my posts and blogs
