As a UK resident, you can’t buy a eurail pass, but you can buy interrail. According to Suite101.com

Quote:
You can buy your Global Pass at any main European station or just visit www.interrailnet.com to order online.

Most eurail passes (should you happen to be in a position to claim that you aren’t a resident of Europe) can be purchased at Euraide offices http://www.eurail.co… However passes cost 20% more than if you buy them before you get to Europe plus any negative issues with the currency exchange rates. If you have an address in Europe it may be cheaper to pay international shipping from www.railpass.com than to pay 20% more for the pass.

Im of British Nationality, so I should be able to buy the global interrail pass when I get to France for example?

Do I just ask at the normal ticket desk for the pass? or is there a specific interrail place to buy it from? (in the station)

thanks

I believe that you can buy it in France — the price, however will be the price for UK citizens, not the price for French citizens. You can’t take advantage of the lower price for Romanian citizens by buying in Romania.

I don’t know. Your best bet is probably to start at the railway information office. Pictogram is a black circle with a white, lower case “i” in it. Usually the capital “I” is tourist information as opposed to train information. If you can’t find information (or there’s a long line there and no line at the ticket windows) go to a ticket window. You may find one with a tiny British flag indicating that the agent speaks English — although almost any agent in Western Europe will speak English.
