Italy - Greece ferry
Fri, 03/13/2009 - 01:21
What is a good site to book a ferry ride from Italy to Greece? (costwise, safety, efficiency, etc.) Most likely i’ll depart from Brindisi and maybe arrive in Patrai in late May.
Thanks for your help

I was very happy with the service I got from this Greek travel agency and I would not hesitate to buy ferry tickets through them: http://www.dolphin-h… I doubt you will find any difference in cost for ferry tickets, but they were significantly cheaper than anywhere else I found for the short cruise we took and the specific hotels they booked for us.
Generally, I prefer to deal with the actual ferry company as opposed to a travel agency, but some of them don’t seem to have websites or sell tickets on-line. I start with a travel agency website to find out the schedules and which ferry company. Then I hunt up the website for that company and book the ticket directly with them if possible.

We used this travel agency located in Crete to book our Venice/Corfu overnight ferry, and everything was fine.
