Excellent. With so many new routes to Europe for US airlines this summer, 1 or more are bound to be "stinkers" and not fill as many seats as airlines had hoped. Last summer it was Bristol, so CO offered it for 25,000 miles in June, then for July and August, they dropped it to $144 each way + taxes and the price stuck around through most of summer. I’ve noticed Manchester airfare, from USA, cheaper than London and nearly as cheap as Dublin for upcoming summer, so maybe DL is the first to cave on price.

Thanks for the tip! Any idea how I can get from MAN to MUC on 06/21? I’ve checked the route maps on AirfareWatchdog, but I’m having a hard time finding a budget airline into MUC.

Don’t see anything on whichbudget.com, and Travelocity didn’t find anything cheap, either, so maybe try travel.kelkoo.co.uk instead. It searches several sources.

I don’t see anything on europbyair.com either. Who’dathunk MAN-MUC would be so much?! Travelocity found KLM about $280 roundtrip; HLX.de go to Stuttgart for about £58 + taxes, then you have to get train or bus to Munich from there. Another option: MAN-STN Air Berlin £24, then STN-MUC Easyjet £46. 2h, 55m between flights at STN.

While the fare to MAN is quite a deal, I’m afraid the logistics are too much of a headache to piece together at this point…considering I haven’t even mentioned the open-jaw return trip from FLR that I’m trying to arrange on 07/06. For two or three pounds, you can take the bus between the cities of Manchester and London – http://www.megabus.c… .

However, then you’re still stuck with getting to whatever London airport.

It’s quite likely flying from PSA will be cheaper than FLR.

Looks like Continental and American have matched! ITA month-long search found lots of fares $471 total outbound in June or July. These from NYC; other cities with good savings to MAN via connection, so try ITA for your city with MAN as destination.

Sub-$500rt fares in peak season are almost unheard-of. If Manchester will work for you, then jump on this fare! Try www.whichbudget.com for onward connections from Manchester; Megabus (see previous reply this thread) and www.nationalexpress…. for UK destinations from Manchester.

Another idea for using these Manchester fares to save money would be to take the trian or bus to Liverpool and grab a budget flight from there. There are a ton more options than out of Manchester.

This fare is still available. Some seats are showing up on ITAsoftware.com on both Continental and Delta. Cheapest I see with 2 week stay is outbound by June 24, $471rt all in. Amazing.

The max stay for this fare has changed from 30+ days, to 30 max, to 30 , to now 30 max in the past week and a half. Why is this happening? I wasn’t able to buy my ticket last friday when it was 30 and now it’s back to 30 max. Will it change again?

I wouldn’t count on it changing. It’s much more likely to disappear. But maybe you can look on as many sites as possible and find the fare that way? Some searches always result in counterintuitive results, so I wouldn’t give up hope – yet.

I’m having trouble finding this sale fare. Did I miss it? I’m looking to fly from NYC to the UK. My (flexible) dates are July 12th to August 23rd. The cheapest I could find was $728 on American. I’m also open to flying somewhere else as long as I can take a train to London.

MBOS… I think max stay on this fare is 30 days. Out 12jul and back 11aug looks about $505rt currently. This on AA.com and Travelocity and ITA.

I ended up finding a flight on US Airways from Philadelphia to Manchester on the exact dates I wanted for $512 including all taxes. I’m pretty pleased. They seemed to have a lot of dates and availability with this fare.
