Me and some friends are heading to kaunas for a few days late feb, we would also like to if possible take a day trip to another country on one of the days.
Does anyone have any suggestions?? I know we can’t go belarus or russia as we would need a visa but would somewhere in poland or latvia be do-able??

I don’t think there are any reasonable day trips outside Lithuania. It’s roughly 4 hours to the Latvian Border and 3 hours to the Polish border. I’d go to Vilnius.

I was in Kaunas last Summer and it is pretty far for a day trip to anywhere outside of the country. I second Oldlady — go to Vilnius.
