My daughter is a college student in Atlanta. Shas a last minute invitation to visit a friend in Heidelburg, Germany for about two weeks. She needs to leave Atlanta at the beginning of March (departure a bit flexib le) and be back by March 17th (travel on the 15th, or possibly 16th).

I think the best city to fly into is Frankfurt. However, the best airfare that i’m comming up with is Lufthansa for $1054. Nothing gets me under $1000 desoite trying all the various consolidator and search websites. I have asked my daughter to register for Lufthansa’s Generation Fly to see if that makes any difference.

Am I stuck with this fare due to being so late? Anyone have an idea of a cheaper way to do this? Maybe flying into another city and then taking a train or inter-europe flight? This is a pretty steep price, so I’d love to hear any suggestions. Thanks so much for your help!
