I hope to stay in any of the LONDON hostels in a cheap dorm bed for A FULL WEEK.
I have my own car (so need FREE PARKING) but happy to stay anywhere within 30-40 minutes tube / bus ride to the centre.
Sometime in early May (next month).
I have tried hostelbookers as well as hostelworld – the cheapest I can find is £75 / $150 per week in 18-bed dorm. Hope it might be possible to find same price in 6 or 8-bed or up to £80 / $160 per week in a 4-bed dorm?
Many thanks!

Try studios92.com – some of their rates are very cheap.

Also look at package deals at St. Christopher’s hostels.

However, if you need free parking, I find it hard to believe any hostel in London can accommodate that.

thanks, mate for link.
looked at it and Palace Hotel in bayswater has 4-bed dorm for £70 a week. Unfortunatly, it is so central that I hardly expect there to be free parking ;-(
Dover Castle in New Cross has 6-bed dorms for £91 – and they have free parking…
St. Christopher’s hostels has a 7 night special from £85… not sure about parking though?
any othe sugestions are very welcome!

If Dover Castle has free parking, that’s pretty good. I see that the Hostelworld web site says it has “on street” parking, but is that what you are seeking? I’m just thinking this is not necessarily reservable.

thanks again, mate!
I know the area of New Cross quite well, and “off road parking” means limited but sufficient side-street free parking
the hostel itself is said to be brand new – might go for it…

If you are unable to find accomodations, then let me know and I will provide telephone numbers to my landlady and she has a few of them around the Willesden Green area just around the Tube station. 25 minutes to oxford street.
If you can afford to pay higher price, then you can get a whole flat to yourself.
Let me know,
