Meininger Hostel

This was the first hostel I had ever stayed in and it blew me away. It was very clean, safe, in a great neighborhood, one block from a major tube station, grocery store, and right next to Hyde Park. They have free wireless internet, hairdryers, energy converters, etc. there to use, as well as a GREAT staff, free maps and walking tours of the city, and a good cheap breakfast. Another really nice amenity was a locked room where my friends and I could store our luggage that was under 24-hour surveillance.
I loved my stay at Meininger and will be visiting my London “home away from home” again.
