Back in the old days, you could click on “members” and get the entire list of members. I think you could sort by # of posts, alphabet, date joined, etc. It was really handy when you kinda/sorta remembered a name but didn’t have it exactly or to try to look up a post from somebody who hadn’t posted in a while.

I thought maybe “community” was the same thing, but apparently not as that just goes to the main forum page.

It would be good to have the member list back.

Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.

ya i actually have it built and i took it out when we went from alpha to beta because it was pretty slow. would you want everyone to be in the list?

i was thinking of putting it back in as well. what i do when looking for users, is i type in what i think it is or a bit that i know. for example, if i cant remember that it is ‘oldlady’ but i know ‘lady’ is in the name, i just search for lady. when it brings up the results you will notice a tab for users at the top. if you click users it will give you a list of all the users with ‘lady’ in their name.

i can add the member list tho…

The search of users pretty much gets what I was looking for, but I liked the member list, too.

I need a little more info before I can implement this. Here are a few things I need a hand figuring out.

do we just want a list of the members in a table (what would be good info if it was in a table?) or do we want to have the users teaser (photo, location, age, sex, eurotrip points) (you may not actually know what this looks like cause it may have only been visible on the alpha site, basically it looks like the top part of the profile).

if it is the teasers then we can not have sorting because it does not have table headers.

if we have it as a table then we can sort based on the different column headers (i need suggestions).

we can add exposed filters so you search based on stuff like:
members with points greater than x (500 for example)
specific gender
etc…

if you have suggestions for me please let me know so i can add this.

cheers…

I’d go for a table with name, # of posts, date joined, date of last post, location with a link from the name to the profile. Sortable on all fields with filters for each letter on name. The filters for # of posts could be the same breakdown as the eurotrip point tokens are awarded or filters be something like 1 or less, 2 to 50, 50 to 100 and then maybe increments of 100 (or even 500) after that. I think the biggest thing would be to have all those with only 1 post in one group. Filters could be by year for date joined and month or year for date of last post.
