midnight arrival, please help
Fri, 11/13/2009 - 23:07
Looks like the only train we can take to Prague from Berlin that works for us arrives in Prague at around midnight.
Do any hostels let you come in that late?? Or are we better off just going to a hotel then? This is our only late arrival of our trip so not sure what to do when we get there! we will want to sleep!
I am leaving from canada with $4500 for 30 days

Just look for a hostel that has 24-hour reception. I’d say the majority of hostels in cities have this. I’d prebook the hostel, and send them a note that you will be arriving very late.
If you do book a hotel, make sure that it has 24-hour reception. Many cheap hotels do not.
Great. Thank you!!
While I am at it….How far in advance should you book a hostel?? I am going in March/April. There will be no holidays during that time when I go (no easter). Would I be able to find something if I just walk up to a hostel kind of thing? Or is it wise to book ahead? And how far ahead? Thanks!

I am still in the planning stages, but I want to keep it spontaneous as well. If you book a hostel is there a cancellation fee if you change your mind midtrip and head somewhere else, and how easy is it to find lodging on the go?
basically, I’m looking for a similar but more detailed response to europlanner’s question: “Would I be able to find something if I just walk up to a hostel kind of thing? Or is it wise to book ahead? And how far ahead? Thanks!”
Thanks in advance,
