It’s expensive, I think it was 70 euros for a seat at the bar, then upwards for better seats (we walked by and checked it out). I would assume you need a reservation, or at least a few days in advance booking if it’s busy. Like a broadway musical. You might get lucky and buy a ticket at the door, but if you want a guarantee…!

Is there any reason on the website is says pricing only available til March or May cant remember 2009? Are they closing or does this just mean the prices will change? Because Ill be there in 2009 and was thinking about going to the Moulin Rouge.. And yes it does also say on the website you need reservations.. it looks pretty pricey? I wonder if its worth it? My friend that went to France also said the neighborhood it is in isnt very nice.

It’s in the middle of the Red Light district. Seems like a tourist trap to me – every time I walk by all there are is busloads of elderly folks who got tickets as part of a package deal. I hear you do get dinner though.

I had a reservation. Its a tacky and overpriced dinner show. Had I been able to go back, I would of saved the money and just took a picture of the outside.

One problem I’ve read about is that it finishes after the metro has stopped running. So, you could consider getting a cab, but that can be very difficult, and you have to be sure to get an authorized cab rather than a ripoff artist. You could look up the night bus schedule.

For me, the total price seemed excessive, plus there’s the pain of getting back at that time of night, so I’ve never done it.

ahh where the “striptease” act came from. i would love to see ladies slowly taking their clothes off. haha. but seriously, they say its really expensive to go and spend a night there.
