Need some advice for Eurotrip 2013
Tue, 06/05/2012 - 14:24
Hi! My friends and I are planning an eurotrip for September 2013. It’s a long time from now what we want to know how much money we should save and to have a proper itinerary. So I need some help deciding on the budget and on the places we should visit (and for how many days)
One month, traveling by train with eurail pass & we’re flying from Israel.
So far the plan is:
Spain – Madrid, Barcelona & Costa Brava region.
France – Can’t decide between a city in central France (like Lyon) or go to the Riviera, Paris.
Netherlands – Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Germany – Berlin.
*Budget: we want to stay in hostels, not splurge on food and try to explore the city more by walking around and less by museums/attractions. Butttt we want to party & probably go to a few shows. How many euros per day (on average) would we spend? *Itinerary: any places you’d recommend (especially in France)? is it possible to fit in a northwest Italian city or would it be a waste of time?
Thanks!

I have to ask… why Rotterdam? I used to live near there. Sure it’s o.k. for a morning or afternoon. But the wild stuff is mostly in Ams. And the “quintessential Dutch” -type stuff would be more in a town like Delft.

We want to stay somewhere for a few days before going to Amsterdam and I saw people saying that Rotterdam is a pretty nice city so we thought why not…
Don’t mind switching to Delft or maybe The Hague.
