Exeter, New Hampshire, what a great place to base camp. 15 minutes drive from the beach, perfect in the summer, delicious family owned lobster shacks, and three different wineries where you can visit and taste their unique wines. Great for couples that want to get off the beaten path but still be close enough to get back on it!

The White Mountains within 2 hours drive, and the Maine Coast 20 minutes away beckons anyone new to the area.

Portsmouth NH is a great place to spend the day, shopping, eating, sightseeing and people watching.

Ogonquit, Maine is a great place for gay couples, although I feel all of New England is gay friendly.

Boston is only 1 hour by train, no worries about parking and the city is small, so you don’t want a car there.

Burlington Vermont is a great fun city to hang out in, 3 hours away by car.

Montreal Canada, 3 1/2 hours by car.

There is also the Northern Area of New York, the Adirondacks, beautiful!!!
