Nice Ravioli
Everyone knows to gorge on French wine, cheese and bread while visiting the Riviera, but did you know that Nice is actually the birth place of ravioli pasta? Grab a bag of ravioli from any grocery store for 2-3 Euro and throw the pasta in a pot of boiling water: it takes only three or four minutes to cook. Eat it without pasta sauce, it is extremely flavorful on its own.
Look for the words “oeufs fraise” on the package – this means the pasta was made with fresh eggs. The cheese-stuffed varieties are absolutely incredible; add a bottle of cold white wine and you have by far the most delicious, cheapest dinner in all of the South of France.
