Nightlife in Athens and Rome

Anybody have any suggestions for two canadians going to Rome for new years and Athens after in terms of clubs and partying? We are first timers and we dunno anything about either or so HELP!! please lol

Hey me and a friend are going to be in Rome for new years and then athens after from what we have looked up alot of the street festivals are pretty fun, but you have to book reservations for dinners and stuff pretty early because new years dinner is a pretty big deal there

Rome has nightlife, like any big city does.  Athens definitely is a party city.  Ask around when you arrive.
