I would highly recommend staying during the week. It’s easier to book a room, and less crowded. Also, try this hotel:

www.spg.com (Sheraton @ Brauneck)..

Gorgeous hotel with a beautiful view, but it’s a 1-hour train ride outside Munchen. Sit’s in the mountains, and it’s only 100 EUR per night.

I might have a couple spots in our trip left- just PM me and I’ll send you the link. Sept 21-26th is when we are there, and we have tent reservations for two days.

Cheapest is camping or get a place in “the tent” , where you can sleep on the floor or in one of the bunk beds. Also, there is a lot of private accomodation available for around 150 euros a night for 4 persons.

I will be there from sept 21-24 and happy to have a beer with whoever is around!
