When you guys typically are traveling in between cities and you’re in transport from an airport or train station to a hostel/hotel, do you typically shove your daypack (with all valuables like camera/ipod) in your big pack or carry it seperately.  Seems like a dumb question but for some reason I’m not sure what I’m going end up doing about that.

No, I don’t put it in my big pack.  I wear it on the front, the same way I would if in a big crowd and want to try and avoid being pickpocketed.

I usually do what Nivid said, or if it’s my zip-off daypack I might zip it back on to the main pack.

I use a messenger bag, so it’s no big deal to put the strap over my shoulder/neck while I’m carrying my main pack.
