I’m just tired of people blatantly ignoring the realities that they live in. Sunskin was right to say that the Secret Service would only go after what they deem a threat but either their idea of a threat has come down several notches or they are being told to operate a bit differently.

The examples I’ve cited are a few instances showing how ridiculous some of these ‘threats’ are and how easy it is for you to get a tap on the shoulder if you become one…

Hell, even someone that was apparently IMPERSONATING a secret service member and who was forceably removing people from a Bush rally that they didn’t like escaped any sort of punishment. The White House apparently even knew who it was after their investigation and still refused to do something.

What gets me the most is that the people who chomped at the bit over a FUCKING BLOWJOB (forgive my Pashtu there) can find ways to gloss over this insanity.

It does make me chuckle though when Mod and others offer up disgruntled posts about Bush, et al.

Pretty soon, everyone who supported Bush is going to reneg and pretend like they never did.

Because they can’t believe they were so stupid and gullible.

The show will go on without them though…at least until 2008.

(smiling, reading above post)

Yeah, but look at the choices we had, Vera.

Still, I hear what you’re saying, though. I know a few jaded Bush supporters(or pre-2004 Republicans………now, they don’t know what the hell they are!) that complain about Bush under their breath. But, they say it low enough so that I don’t always hear them. As if I’m gonna call them on it and say, "Ha! I told ya so!" and giggle with delight.

……..and I would(do).

Morals have many angles, as many as people need to justify and not acknowledge their mistakes. I’d rather have a male whore president that will maintain my economy stable. What they do in bed affects me in no way whatsoever. Not that I’m saying Clinton was a much better president than Bush, all I am saying is… he was……

People don’t often credit(or chastise)Alan Greenspan for getting Bush the 2nd election, but he couldn’t have done it without Greenspan. He was nearly as important as Karl Rove. His policies created the most massive real estate bubble in history which caused people to cash out equity in their homes in mass and by hummers and plasma TVs proping the economy up on consumer spending after the recession, while our manufacturing base was disappearing. Gave us the illusion that the economy had recovered when we’re really living on borrowed money and borrowed time. The bill for all this shit is going to come due sooner or later and its going to be painful. We can’t sustain an economy by selling each other overpriced houses with borrowed Chinese money, but that’s what Greenspan’s policies led to. If Greenspan hadn’t done this, Kerry would be president right now. Paul Krugman has a new article in the NYT where he said Greenspan encouraged congress not to pay off the federal debt. Trouble is coming.

Btw, hope you guys fueled your cars this morning, oil is going to spike up again after the hurricane damaged those oil refineries in the Gulf Coast. Expect gas to be 20 cents higher by the end of the week.

Have a nice evening.

Greenspan had something to do with it but I don’t think it changes the fact that ignorant people would rather continue to indulge in their political fantasies—inculcated by political spinners—than acknowledge the reality at their doorstep.

I bet your average American has no fucking clue who Greenspan is or what he does.

The information about all of this has been around for years and only now are you posting about it.

I’m not pointing my finger at you, only saying that a lot of people can’t find any way to rationalize the bullshit anymore.

So they start to acknowledge the truth.

This is the faith that I have in Americans. Sooner or later they feel the massive cock in their asses and begin to complain about it when only moments earlier they were at a political rally chanting, "HARDER, HARDER, HARDER!"

It’s a fucking paradox…pun intended.

Here’s one that even the most ardent Bush supporter must wonder…what the hell ever happened to all those orange alerts? In the year before the election, there was an orange alert almost every week. Notice after the election, never heard of them again.

First off, don’t get mad at anyone who voted for Bush in 2000 as I did. It wasn’t the same world as it is now. Nobody who punched the ballot for Bush in 2000 had any idea that 5 years later we’d be bogged down in 2 wars with no end in sight. Nor did we have any idea that 9/11 would happen and that our way of life would be altered. Sure some will say, "you should’ve known!!!" but there was no way to have known. I don’t recall much enthusiasm behind either candidate in that race and I think people just choose by ideological leanings. Conservatives went with Bush and liberals went with Gore. The most serious thing being discussed was some "social security lockbox(that has never existed to being with)".

Even many liberals after 9/11 rallied around the president(or at least were willing to have a moratorium on the Bush-ism jokes) and at least supported the war in Afghanistan.

It’s well-known that the Bush-led government wants us to live in fear, hence the orange alerts that led us to blindly follow him in his war on terror.

Oh, and one more thing:

Holy fucking shit, I think Moddy is slowly starting to come around!!! Welcome to the left, buddy!

Who’s talking about 2000? I’m talking about the morons who came out in droves to support him this last time around. I don’t know how anyone justified it then and from the sounds of it, neither do they.

Why have a moratorium on the Bushism jokes when it’s not even like people have to make shit up about him. He’s so fucking outlandish he makes his own jokes. What is a ‘joke’ is then reported and people laugh because it’s so fucking insane. Then righties get mad because people are laughing at him and they feel like he’s "one of them" somehow and that we must be laughing at them too.

IT’S THE REALITY that is stranger than fiction. People just didn’t want to admit it. So people who mentioned reality got labeled nasty things, the TRUTH was called ‘jokes’, and a very pathetic but effective defense was put up for one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had.

Now people see that all of the pro-terrorist, bush ‘joke’ telling, saddam supporting, america hating, liberal sacks of shit were right about their man.

Mark my words, people who supported Bush in the LAST election who change their minds will seal their political closet as tight as Gannon’s ass must be for the favors he got.

It’s neither left nor right until you say something one or the other doesn’t agree with then it’s LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT…KO.

This last round with Bush, the truth has almost always come from the left…or what people call the left when truth doesn’t jive with their understanding or lack thereof.

Hopefully Modulis you’ll read my posts and link a little more throughly in future.

So moddy, when was your epiphany? Was it the housing bubble that made you realize the whole thing was a crock of shit ??

Well, I’d sort of been saying that since the tech crash… the thing is Mod, you need to keep your peepers open for the next wave.

Vera, that thing about the Bush rally, that would really worry me. Sort of backs up my viewpoitn on the American democracy being exported to Iraq… it’s an illusion that Americans are free.. at least in African and parts of Asia militart coups can save you from tyrants and dictators, you lot are stuck with Bush and regardless of who comes to power Rep or Dem, they aren’t going to bite the bullet and try and save the american economy, it would go down in history as the most disasterous presidency ever (even though in the long run they’d be saving the nation from the impending collapse).

Americans are going to have to pay the piper, with their jobs, higher interest rates because the current situation is unsustainable.

Think of it, people constantly liquidating $10 million dollar properties with no jobs and the dollar = to 5 euros… that’s called Hyperinflation and the country with default as the intertest is unpayable and unserivceable never mind the debt.

The whole point of usury is the debt is paid back plus some, or by design you default, all previous payments are meaningless as they get the securities aginst which the sum was borrowed (your home, your car etc).

Are Americans forgetting the very basics of economics ??? The worst part is, those not taking part in this massiveb credit binge will get burnt too, with your jobs, the high rates, your savings being worthless etc… nobodies immune,

Think about it Moddy, all that money somebody saved during the 90’s, it’w going to be worth fuck all when the dollar takes a header into the gutter. Move anything you have into Euros or Yen, Bill Gates is doing it, he said the dollar is dead!

It’s up to all of us to try and educate the reckless, for all our sakes!

I try not to jump headling into hysterias, but I do think there is serious trouble ahead. I should start buying gold and oil to protect myself.

Yeah, it does suck that financially responsible people will be dragged down. When the ship sinks, everybody goes down, good or bad. It’s a damned shamed because I’m very conservative financially and don’t believe in debt and carry none but as inflation heads up and the dollar down, it is basically eating away at my savings.

Someone had a quote on another site that actually made me laugh, "better to live rich and die poor than live poor and die rich". I guess that sums the whole situation up.

It’s against the law here in the UK to hoard fuel, but a coupe of thousand gallons bought in the mid 90’s had doubled in value.

Gasoline prices can only go up, they’ll never come down … unless Hydrogen fuel cells get cheap enough.

Read in the newspaper today that wind farm hydrogen generators are going to be trialed in Scotland, becuase it’s the windiest country in Europe.

I think I’ll buy a wind turbine for my home, that way I won’t be paying the ever increasing energy bills (which I beleive to be fatcat profiteering, nothing else!)

Mod, is housing a factor in the rate of inflation calculations in the US ??

No, it sure isn’t. Government keeps claiming inflation is low, but there are too many things that aren’t being included in the CPI.

Same here,

isn’t included because it’s going up quicker than the space shuttle.

Given that housing probably has a bigger impact on real world inflation than all the shite they do include, who’s kidding who on here ??

Lucky for them, a lot of people are too dense to figure it out. When you stop including things in the ways ‘bad stats’ are calculated—there’s no chance in hell they’d figure it out before the election.

Kind of like not including the people who don’t receive unemployment anymore because it’s been 6 months and they still can’t find work. The magically fall off the rolls and the rate stays around 5.4%

I think we should find el_quilen a case officer to hire him as a Venezuelan national, and do covert ops for the CIA.

In a year’s time, you can bring Chavez’ head on a platter to the White House.

Hmm, wouldn’t that be nice.
