Phoenix to London
Mon, 01/04/2010 - 23:15
Hello all,
I thought I’d check here and see if anyone can help. Looking for any decent fares from Phoenix, AZ to London. My travel dates are March 6-13. Can go a day earlier, or stay a day later. A longer trip could be even better. I’ve found a ticket with one-stop at $715 and a non-stop on BA for $887.
I checked Some airline, travel, & some of the other sites listed here on the forum. What do you think? Any other deals coming up that anyone may know of?
Thanks!
Greg
I am traveling for 10 days

Which ones did you check (so we do not repeat efforts)?

Hey Don,
Thanks for replying. I checked Travelocity, Expedia, ITA, flights.com. Just saw a non-stop on flights for $842 on BA Mar 6-14. NWA had a flight for $714. Just wondering if there is anything better, or if there are any deals coming out in the near future. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Greg
I see a consolidator at $697 those dates. It seems a lot for low-season, however oil is $82 per bbl currently. Previous years may have been a little cheaper, but I don’t know if you’ll do better than $700-ish for this one. Personally, if I was flexible and diligent, I’d probably sign up for fare alerts on this route with Bing and Farecompare, and give it another 3-4 weeks to see if it gets down into the $500s.

Just a quick update. I missed out on a non-stop on BA. The fare dropped from around $800, to $720. Appeared to be dropping almost daily. Then it jumped to $1068. However, I ended up booking a flight on UA for $697 total. That was about the best I could do. Didn’t want to wait much longer and take any more chances.
Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated Don!
