I just got back from a week spent at the Pink Palace in Corfu Greece and had the most amazing time! I’ve travelled all over Europe and this was by far the most fun/most impressive hostel I have ever stayed at.
The place is enormous, filled with fun people from all over the world, and at a great backpackers price! (only 20 euros and that includes a HOT breakfast AND a 3 course greek dinner! Unreal!). There were tons of great activities offered, like ATVing, mopeds, kayaking, volleyball, snorkling and the Booze Cruise – we ended up staying an extra 4 night since there was so much to fit in!
The place is right on this beautiful greek sandy beach where you can sleep and tan all day – you’re going to need the extra sleep beecause the party goes all night long! cheap drinks, huge club, 3 bars and wicked people to party with!
I seriously believe that no european backpacking trip is complete without a trip to the Pink Palace! You’ve gotta go and experience the place for yourself!!
I’ll agree completely…best place on earth. The nude beaches in Corfu are ridiculously amazing and fun. It’s very liberating to run on the beach naked and not be noticed like its a big thing. I love the U.S., but I always meet the coolest/most laidback people when travel and wonder how wonderful life would be if we could just be all like that! Mykonos and Santorini are ridiculous as well. Just stay away from dirty/crappy Athens…trust me!!!

Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic is a Mecca for backpackers.
Great place to laze around for a week in the summer if you want a break from the grind. Sighisoara, Romania is similiar too, and even cheaper.

Should we cut time from Athens and head there? If so, how would we go about getting there cheapest and quickest? I like any ideas you can provide on hostels or B&Bs in the locations I’ve chosen as well if you fell up to providing that info here.
