Poland to Paris
Tue, 09/28/2010 - 18:10
Hello everyone!
I am going to Poland to take care of my sick grandmother for a few weeks. While there I wanted to take a short side trip to Paris for 4 or 5 days, sometime in mid october. I am a bit confused on finding out which train or trains I need to take and where they leave from. My grandmother lives a bit out of the way. I know that Novy Targ is fairly close, Zakopane is about an hour then Krakow is about two hours away. If someone can give me a bit of direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Paris is hardly a “side trip” from Poland. Krakow to Paris is nearly 24 hours by train. I would be looking for a cheap flight. Use www.whichbudget.com to find which low fare airlines fly which routes and see our “cheap flights” forum for more links, tips and help.
Use the German rail website for schedules anywhere in Europe. http://reiseauskunft…
Ditto Oldlady’s advice.
There should be no shortage of Krakow-Paris flights. And with only 4-5 days to spare, don’t bother with the train. Trains are best (better than flying) for shorter distances, or an itinerary that includes several stops.

take the cheap flight then. if you’ll take the train.. you can’t save time
