Purchasing train tickets
Mon, 05/09/2005 - 15:10
Has anyone purchased train tickets yet? The only site I know of is http://www.raileurop… and it won’t let me purchase anything yet (Barcelona to Pamplona, Pamplona to Madrid)
Was wondering if anyone has purchased theirs yet and if I have nothing to worry about at this time.
Thanks
Lola

I’ve only ever bought train tickets from the train station. That’s the easiest way really. National rail sites (so for your itinerary, look for the Spanish railways site) may have online availabilty as well, but for rides within a country I highly doubt it would be useful to get tickets more than a few hours in advance. (I’ve never been to Spain though)
maybe www.renfe.es will help?
ill be in pamplona for the running of the bulls and will also be traveling from barcelona. oddly, at renfe it looks like you can buy tickets during the running of the bulls from barcelona to pamplona, but if you try it in english it wont let you buy anything for dates after 6 June. wierd
Thanks guys for your responses.
Lots of good info to check out
