My trip is still almost 7 months out. Travelling to DUB from PHX for reunion on September 10. I’m on my own and very flexible timing and routes wise.

Options include open jaw (PHX-AMS, DUB-PHX) or (PHX-UK, DUB-PHX)

Also could consider depart from LAX (with cheap SW connection)

Current prices still around $1000 including taxes.

Anyone know what the outlook is for prices dropping before September. I paid $420 last June – so I’m a bit disappointed at the fares this year.

I am traveling for 8 days

Fares this year are definitely high at the moment, but those fares in the $400’s last year were such extraordinary anomalies. I haven’t seen a sub $500 fare to Europe from anywhere on the West coast for quite a while. That said, I still think you should be able to find something to Dublin for under $1000.

Rich, def. check the consolidators and other links—like Bookingbuddy—in our new user thread at the top of cheap flights forum. And def. sign up for fare alerts with Farecompare and Bing. Time is on your side, but stay on top of it if you want a truly extraordinary fare (which probably won’t be as extraordinary as last year’s unusual fares).
